What a gut-punch of a sermon. Pope Leo didn’t mince words, and thank God for that. In an age where leaders lie like it’s a strategy—not a shame—his call to fidelity over manipulation hits hard. Especially when Vance literally brags about fabricating stories.

This isn’t just about politics—it’s about spiritual rot cloaked in patriotism. If you’re invoking God while knowingly spreading lies, you’re not a disciple. You’re a fraud with a flag.

May more leaders feel the weight of the oaths they swore—and the Gospel they claim to follow.

LIONHEARTED POPE LEO says what needs to be said, and how.

When he became Pope, he didn't address the crowds using American English. I wondered why. Now. I know he was ashamed of Trump and his Republican lackeys. It makes sense.

Same -- which is saying A LOT since I was royally messed up by the Catholic Church growing up and have looked at the whole institution with nothing but anger and scorn ever since.

It would be nice to think that people would listen to Pope Leo XIV, and I hope that they do. We are living in such a cruel inhumane world right now especially in the United States under Trump. I'm not sure how much more I can stand of the outright cruelty and inhumane treatment of immigrants, who just want a chance at a better life. They are hard-working and paying their taxes. They are for the most part very law abiding all the evidence supports that. I don't understand why they are being attacked like they are. It just isn't us. The United States is always been the melting pot of the world with citizens from every country all over the globe. Why are we now doing so much damage to innocent people? If Pope Leo can help with stop this cruelty then I wish he would!!!

Exactly. We were the melting pot. Why can't we still offer our bounty to those who are seeking a better life?

Yes, the US was a melting pot, founded on immigrants. It is inhumane, Abigail.

Absolutely Abigail and all - this is the time - NOW it is time to peacefully fight the oligarchy. I understand we that are in the position are to being a part helping of local neighbors in need , of the poor , stand up for the immigrants- be loving to all .

I totally believe in synchronicities- to me it is no coincidence our Pope Leo has been inaugurated. It is the Holy Spirit is speaking through him against evil actions of the lies of the “ leaders “ of the world . He is speaking out, inspiring, and it is a miracle he is here in his role right now .

Hope is active , what more can we do . He strives to quell our fears, telling us that evil will NOT prevail.

I ask you Christopher , what besides helping the poor , immigrants , helping any having peaceful protests , prayer, please let me (us) know what Pope Leo espouses (us to do ) .

I am reading many of your posts , and find what Pope Leo is doing, what he is saying . I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you . I need to read and re read your posts for wisdom.

I know I must be missing message(s) and am new to the teachings of Catholicism.

How do we fight against the evil that has been unleashed in order to help spread the love , as in the “Little Way” of St Terese of Liseux . Emulating her actions , finding her deep devotion increased tenfold in the midst of her suffering . I believe in her intercession of scattering roses to us here on earth now. Her life of spreading love was beautiful .

Please help me (us) understand what specific actions to take to fight and protect ourselves collectively, promote love in these dark times . I do understand how to be courageous, be strong and fight against the evil which will NOT prevail. Truth over lies.

Christopher Hale , again thank you SO much for being instrumental in spreading Hope , letting us know there comforting us in the darkest of days . Letting us know of Pope Leo’s life history is awesome, fascinating !

What more can we do ? To protect what is left of our democracy ? Globally ?

I thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏🏻🌹

I found out that a small majority of Catholics voted for Trump. I guess many Catholics are comfortable, middle class people who don’t care about immigrants, the poor or the homeless. They only care about doctrinal correctness and ignore Catholic Social Teaching.

I go to Mass daily and stay after for group Rosary after. About 30 people at Mass and about 10 stay for Rosary. I pray our pope will explicitly condemn “Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza”. I am a U.S. military veteran and conservative too.

Christopher Hale was the head of Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, the organization founded by John Podesta to "plant the seeds of revolution" against the Catholic Church.

To be clear, I think there are false prophets in both political parties, and it would also be wrong for a Republican activist to claim to speak for the pope.

True. ;)

And funny. Thank you!

... Now try to love and forgive him, nonetheless, for not even having been shown unconditional love while growing up? And needing to feel it now, from his faithful supporters. WHILE still critizising him.

Hard, right?
